Johnny's mechanical experiences came from his first basket case motorcicle project he bought in Oconomowoc Wi. - a 1976 Iron Sportster Harley Davidson. In his early 20's, Johnny was working for his father in Milwaukee Wisconsin at a dance hall corner barroom. It was there where he had lots of help building his first motorcicle by a few veteran Harley riders and passed on to him a fundamental overall knowledge behind the V-Twin design. Johnny saw an add in a motorcycle magazine for a Harley Davidson endorsed school in Phoenix Az called Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, and decided to leave Milwaukee behind for the dessert in 1997.

In May of 1999, Johnny graduated having taken the Early and Late model courses, including Engine Rebuild and Performance, and all the prerequisite courses to complete the Harley Davidson program.

The years that followed in his motorcicle career placed him working in Phoenix Az at an aftermarket V-Twin shop, College Station Tx at a Harley Davidson Dealership, and Finally back in Austin Tx, at the Dealership on Braker Lane.

By 2002, Johnny formed a home based sole proprietorship call Kool Daddy Motorcicle Repair that evolved over the next 5-6 years, and has now moved to 513 Thompson Lane under the new name of Kool Daddy Motorcicles L.L.C. in the winter of 2008. Renovations took place, and the doors reopened for his new shop in January of 2009, taking his journey further into the V-Twin motorcycle industry.

The department he leads in the shop is available for the owners of V-Twin designs dating from 1936-1984 1/2, which he believes is much needed in our city. So if you have an 'ol Iron Sporty, or even a Shovelhead that you want to redesign a chassis around, Kool Daddy Motorcicles won't turn you away for being a scoot of yesteryear...........
